Mission Statement
St. Agnes Catholic Church
Our People
We the people of St. Agnes Parish, located in Gloucester Township, the South Eastern Portion of Camden County, are a community composed of more than 4,000 families. While many of us are second and third generation Italian, Polish, and German heritage, we welcome people of every race and ethnic group. We find ourselves being enriched by the presence and culture of increasing numbers of Philippine, Asian, and African-American youth and adults. The population of our parish has almost doubled in size over the past fifteen years. Many of our newer members are not only younger married couples with school age children, but single men and woman, and retired couples as well. While we are not a poor community, our efforts to cope with such rapid growth have resulted in some financial challenges.
Our Beliefs We share a deep faith in a loving God, Who is our Creator and Redeemer. Through, with, and in Him, we are brothers and sisters in the Spirit. We believe that each member of our parish family is uniquely gifted by God, and thereby capable of contributing to the well being of the community. We also believe that we experience Christ's loving presence by actively participating in this community, an experience which empowers us as we strive to fulfill our Christian vocation and destiny.
Our Purpose
Each of us is called by Baptism to participate in manifesting His Kingdom, by proclaiming the Good News of Salvation and incarnating it in our everyday lives. This parish exists as a community of believers dedicated to ongoing evangelization, lifelong religious education, spiritually enriching & healing liturgical and sacramental celebrations, and caring and compassionate service to others in the name of Jesus Christ.
