Purpose:
Implements a variety of strategies to ensure the financial strength of the parish, such as planned giving.
 
 
Mission Statement:
The mission of the Parish Development Council is to assist the pastor in raising funds for sustaining, improving, and providing for the future of the parish as an institution through a program of planning, public relations, and charitable giving.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project the parish's financial support needs (operating parish, major investments in buildings/equipment, long term security/stability)
  2. Appraise the parish's potential for generating funding (major prospects, public relations, people power)
  3. Clarify the parish's fund raising purposes (goals, objectives, rationales)
  4. Profile suitable financial development strategies (annual giving, capital campaign, planned giving)
  5. Secure recommendations from individuals representative of all segments of the parish community regarding the parish's
  6. Establish plans for implementing specific fundraising strategies (tasks/timelines, roles/responsibilities, costs/contributions)
  7. Create a management structure for overseeing implementation of those plans (communication, cooperation, coordination)
  8. recruit personnel required to carry out plans (leadership, volunteers, special expertise)
  9. Provide ongoing practical support for all personnel (training, tools, problem resolution)
  10. Evaluate and strive to continuously improve performance (implementation process, fundraising progress, functioning of parish development council)
 
Council Meetings:
The St. Agnes Development Council meets as needed.

Support Council Members: 
Support Council Members will assist with coordinating parish programs, communications, and assisting with the administrative tasks.
