Coordinator:
Bernadette Harbeson @ 784-3718

Purpose:
The Legion of Mary is a world-wide organization of Catholics, men and women, who offer their services to their pastor to aid him in performing spiritual works in the parish. This is done by placing themselves under the banner of Mary, so that with her help they may develop greater holiness in their own lives as well as spreading a deeper devotion to her among others. At St. Agnes, the Legion of Mary encourages devotion to Our Lady, while also maintaining the church sanctuary.

Description:
The Legion of Mary is the largest Catholic Apostolic Organization, with over 10 million members. It enables its members to become better Christians by a balanced program of prayer and action which includes: visiting shut-ins, nursing homes, and hospitals; conversion work; home visitation; youth work; works of service; CCD; Prison Visitation; and promoting religious vocations. It gives Catholics of all ages, something positive to do for their Church and Community, while at the same time deepening their Spiritual life. By our Baptism, we are called to be Apostolic. Members meet together once a week for prayer and discussion.

Facts About the Legion of Mary

Do you realize - that the Spiritual Starvation is more widespread and more serious than physical hunger - we have a precious faith to share and working for others can give a new meaning to your life - Christ expects you to play a part in His work.
